Slow Tour in the Tuscan Maremma of carducciana memory
The coast of Tuscany among medieval villages, parks, spas, famous wineries and “Made in Italy” excellence
1st day – After reaching the Etruscan Coast and the Relais dei Molini, located in the medieval village of Castagneto Carducci, tonight you can enjoy your welcome dinner at the Da Ugo Restaurant, a historic Castagnetan restaurant specializing in traditional local recipes with pasta homemade, game and flavors that make you rediscover the charm and typicality of these places in Maremma, so dear to Giosuè Carducci.
2nd day – A day dedicated to discovering the wines and flavors of Bolgheri Doc, one of the most famous wine-growing areas in the world. The first suggested stop is the medieval town of Bolgheri, a beautiful village historically belonging to the Della Gherardesca family and also known for the famous “Viale dei Cipressi”, the avenue with the wonderful historical cypresses praised in the famous poem by Giosué Carducci “Davanti a San Guido “. We stop at a local winery for a guided tour followed by a tasting of a selection of wines. Lunch today is with the locals at a local Bolgheri Doc farmhouse. After lunch, you can discover the town of Castagneto through our Urban Trekking. A guided walk to discover the medieval village, the places of Carducci and the secrets of a local production of liqueurs, Borsi Liquori, a family-run business with over 200 years of history and recipes that date back to the past.
3rd day – Day dedicated to wellness and relaxation – Explore the coast and relax at the Etruscan thermal baths Away from everyday stress, allow yourself a regenerating and rebalancing moment in the “Terme di Toscana”. A few km from the Relais dei Molini you can find some of the most renowned sites: Terme di Venturina, Il Calidario and Terme di Sassetta. We have included for you the entrance to the Calidario natural pool, a 36 degree hot water source that flows directly into the natural pool.
4th day – Breakfast and departure
