Because the Etruscan Coast is an area where you can taste a glass of wine in one of the cellars surrounded by vineyards and the green of the Mediterranean scrub, but with the intense blue of the sea in the background; visit an oil mill learning to recognize oils from different varieties and taste the tasty Tuscan cuisine in typical restaurants or surrounded by the warm welcome of a farmhouse. We are in that part of Tuscany where the Italian wine revolution began thanks to the precursor of the “Supertuscans”, Sassicaia, and continued with the initiatives of the many winegrowers of this territory scattered in the five DOC areas of the territory, enriched by a valuable production of extra virgin olive oils and quality gastronomic products used in the rich local cuisine.

Day 1
Arrival at the facility and dinner in the village of Castagneto Carducci
After reaching the Etruscan Coast and the Relais dei Molini, located in the medieval village of Castagneto Carducci, on the first evening you can enjoy your welcome dinner at the Da Ugo Restaurant, a historic restaurant specializing in traditional local recipes with homemade pasta, game and flavours that make you rediscover the charm and typicality of these places in Maremma, so dear to Giosuè Carducci.
Day 2
Morning: Visit to the winery of Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, one of the world’s excellences in the Bolgheri area.
Once through the gate of Ornellaia, a guided tour begins to discover the historic vineyards until you reach the cellar where the guest is welcomed by the contemporary works of art that are part of the Vendemmia d’Artista project. The exploration continues in the barrel room, where the French oak preserves and refines the various wines that give birth to Ornellaia, until it reaches the Historical Archive, the beating heart of the estate.
Lunch: light lunch in Bolgheri with a visit to the village; along the avenue of cypresses, praised in the poems of the poet Giosuè Carducci, 5 km of road lined with more than 5,000 cypresses and you can discover the charming village of Bolgheri, where time seems to have stopped. You can stop in one of the wine bars to savour traditional dishes or for an aperitif outdoors.
Afternoon: visit to the Tenuta Argentiera winery, in a picturesque corner of the Alta Maremma coast, in the southern tip of the territory of Castagneto Carducci, cradle of the Bolgheri DOC wine production appellation. The estate is located in a privileged position, with vineyards close to the coast and located at some of the highest altitudes in the appellation. Here the light, the breezes, the sky and the view towards the infinite sea merge together in the spectacle of the elements.
The visit to the winery, located on the heights of “I Pianali”, develops in a path that goes from the vat room, passing through the barrel cellar up to the panoramic terrace.
This will be followed by a wine tasting in the wine shop, accompanied by a tasting of local products and the estate’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Day 3
Morning: visit of the Tua Rita winery.
Tua Rita was born in 1984, in the heart of the Tuscan metalliferous hills, in Suvereto; Originally purchased as a small property with a few hectares of vineyards, the company has grown rapidly to the present day, with a production of around 300,000 bottles per year.
Tua Rita’s philosophy is based on the production of high quality wines, with a strong link to the territory and careful attention to detail at every stage of production.
The tour includes a visit to the rows of one of the company’s most important vineyards, until you reach the new cellar with the tasting of one or more wines, directly from the vats.
The experience continues with a visit to the rooms where the winemaking processes take place up to the amphorae room and the suggestive barrel room. The tour will end with the tasting of 3 wines accompanied by a plate of local products.
Lunch: lunch in Suvereto with a visit to the village.
A jewel of rare beauty set among the green of the beautiful hills that surround it up to the foot of the sea, Suvereto is a charming village of medieval origin. Inside, surrounded by ancient and mighty walls consisting of eight towers, art and history blend together. Its history is ancient, as are its traditions, evidenced by the work of the artisans who bring to light the old trades of cork oak, carpenter, straw maker and many are wrought iron works.
