A clear sea, from the colors that fade from emerald green to deep blue, awarded with the Blue Flag of the European Union together with the resort towns of the coast for the quality of the sea water and tourist services, wets uninterruptedly for over 90 km this land.

Along the entire coast many famous destinations can be found like Castiglioncello, once called La Perla del Tirreno, the Gulf of Baratti, where we can still see some remains of the the splendor of Etruria civilization. Clear sandy beaches such as those of San Vincenzo and Baratti, Marina di Castagneto, Bibbona and Cecina alternate with cliffs carved by the wind in Livorno and Piombino.

Some of the beaches on the coast

Buca delle Fate:

a rocky beach located near the Gulf of Baratti. Legend has it that the wind that blows among the ruins of the Etruscan tombs emits evocative sounds like those that once bewitched Ulysses by meeting the sirens. A magical place, a pristine pebble beach and a breathtaking view. The beach can be reached from the Reciso car park in 20 minutes on foot

Parco della Sterpaia:

the park extends along the coast in the gulf between Piombino and Follonica, here are located the beautiful beaches of Torre Mozza, Carbonifera and Mortelliccio, paradises of light and fine sand and a crystalline blue sea. A beautiful pine forest stretches along the coast where you can relax in the shade of centuries-old pines. Inside the park there are several car parks, bars-restaurants, equipped and free beaches  +

I Pianetti:

at Pianetti’s in Marina di Castagneto Carducci there is a wide sandy beach surrounded by dunes, Mediterranean scrub and a dense pine forest. The beach stretches for 9 km after the Paradu resort village up to San Vincenzo, it is one of the most beautiful and extensive free beaches on the Tuscan coast.
